Nearly thirty years of working in homes have given Mary Lynne Mullican a distinct understanding and appreciation of architecture, neighborhoods, and interior spaces. Mary Lynne’s interior design career began in a Georgetown design firm where she served as a design assistant to the Washington, DC President of the American Society of Interior Designers in the late 1980s. Her business expanded to an impressive clientele, including the White House, State Department, several embassies, and senator’s homes, which honed her customer service skills. Mary Lynne founded Yellow Door Designs in 1990 when she and her husband Mark moved from Washington, DC, to Maryland, which afforded her entre to some of the most beautiful homes in the state. Her knowledge of the area grew, and in 2004 she became a licensed Realtor and joined a brokerage that specialized in Maryland historic neighborhoods and country estates. For 18 years, Mary Lynne and her team have sold hundreds of houses in some of the most historically significant and elegant neighborhoods in Maryland. She has trained about a dozen other realtors in her career, serving as a mentor and a team leader. Her portfolio of sales extends from Washington, DC, to equestrian farms in the country.

Mary Lynne has been the recipient of the Top Ten Producer Awards in both 2016 & 2018 out of several hundred fellow realtors at Cummings & Co Realtors. While she loves listing & marketing a property, she also has represented buyers in purchasing two of the highest-priced sales in Baltimore in 2018 & 2019. Her clients all give high marks to her integrity, hard work, and discretion.

She has been a volunteer for the Homeland House and Garden Tour and served as a contributor to the Homeland Newsletter. She serves on committees benefiting Our Daily Bread, Catholic Charities, and runs the Cummings & Co. Ruxton office Coat and Toy Drive every holiday season and the Second Chance fundraiser through her Cummings office. Now, as an empty nester, she enjoys spending time by the water kayaking, gardening with her husband & working with outreach groups at her church. Mary Lynne received her Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana in Economics and Political Science and attended The American University in Washington, DC, where she earned a certificate in Government Affairs. She also studied interior design at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. Mary Lynne is a licensed Realtor in Maryland and Southwest Florida. Mary Lynne is a sales associate at Gulf Coast International Properties in Naples, FL.
