Bio

Karen Gaylord is a Realtor and Team Leader of The Gaylord Group with Cummings & Co. Realtors. Gaylord began her career in real estate in 2001 and joined the company in 2017. Under her leadership, Karen manages The Gaylord Group, a team of top notch realtors who offer a first-rate real estate experience.

As a result of Karen’s undeniable drive to succeed, her ability to negotiate and close deals has consistently landed her in the top 10 realtors of Harford County, as well as the top two percent of Realtors nationwide over the years. In 2014, Karen was a featured on the cover of Top Agent Magazine as an accomplished agent in the state of Maryland. In 2015- 2019, she was named a top 10 agent in Maryland for Client Satisfaction by The American Institute of Real Estate Professionals.

Gaylord is deeply immersed in the Maryland real estate circuit having served on the Board of Directors at the Harford County Association of Realtors, and on the Board of Governors for the Million Dollar Realtor Association of Harford County.

Prior to real estate, Karen worked in the financial services industry as VP for Sales Training at Merrill Lynch, Sales Manager at Mutual of New York and as an auditor at New Jersey Housing Finance Agency, and Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. Her previous career expertise has enabled her to provide quality financial guidance and advice to her clients throughout the buying and selling process.

Karen graduated cum laude from Penn State with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She and her husband love boating and traveling to Key West. The apple doesn’t fall far from her tree, as her son Jeff and daughter Jennifer work by her side as realtors for The Gaylord Group.

She came to the initial appointment with detailed information about the current real estate market including numbers about days on the market, sales in our price range, and comps that demonstrated her in depth of knowledge of our neighborhood and those that are similar.
